KC-135 Air National Guard Incentive Flight

On Tuesday, September 12th, nine seniors from the NJROTC program at Dover High School had a “chance of a life time” to participate in a KC-135 Air National Guard Incentive Flight.  The cadets were invited to travel to Pease Air Force Base with the NH Air National Guard where they were introduced to the157th Air Refueling Wing Commander Colonel James Ryan and given a brief on what it takes to be a member of the Air National Guard as well as safety precautions for the upcoming flight.  The cadets boarded a KC-135 aircraft and took to the skies where we were followed by another KC-135 that had Spaulding High School Cadets as passengers.  About 45 minutes into the flight a third aircraft, a KC-10, joined the group where we proceeded to practice the dynamic in-flight refueling operations.  A great time was had by all the cadets and will be an experience they will cherish from their high school careers.
