Students get a jump start on college

Dover High School and Career Technical Center offers students the opportunity to earn college credits prior to high school graduation utilizing dual enrollment programs provided by SNHU and the NH Community College System.

Dual enrollment allows qualified high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to earn college credit by taking high school classes aligned with post-secondary courses for just a fraction of the cost of full-time tuition.  These classes are taught by qualified high school teachers throughout the school day as students work concurrently toward both a high school and a college degree.

During this year alone, 101 students were enrolled in one or more of the 18 classes earning a totaling 303 post-secondary credits which are transferable to many 2-year and 4-year institutions throughout the U.S.
